Maternal Expressions in Folsom is a great resource and has wonderful lactation consultants. I know it is far from Elk Grove but they do a great job and are very supportive. The other idea you might want to ask her is if she has tried a nipple guard or soft shells from Medela. Those are good supportive adjuncts at the beginning. From what I understand is that inverted or not, the baby should still be able to latch on to the areola.

She has gone to her Kaiser breastfeeding help class and gotten a 10-minute one-on-one session that apparently didn't help, and she gave up trying.
She lives in the Elk Grove area, and REALLY wants to breastfeed this time. If you have any information about a place where she can get professional help, or a reference to a good specialist, please let me know as soon as possible.
